At Guidance, Growth & Grace, my counseling provides the direction to help clients balance their lives. By working with me, clients will be able to realize their true potential and gain freedom from stress, grief and conflict.
My approach to therapy is designed to help clients meet the following needs:

I work with individuals, couples and families.
My specialties include:
- Depression and Anxiety
- Grief and Loss
- Family Concerns
- Young Adult Issues
- Relationship Issues
- Marital Issues
Therapy is about healing. We will explore your emotional life, your physical life and, if you are receptive, your spiritual life. I am open to considering how all of these aspects of you might benefit your healing process. These different but connected parts of you also can be a cause of great stress and I am open to finding ways for that to be different.
Therapy is an interactive process between client and counselor. You will benefit more if you come prepared to be an active participant in your own healing. I will be your guide on this journey of growth and change. I approach my therapy not from a standpoint of pathology, but from one of respect for my clients in guiding you to your most authentic self. I will guide you at a pace that is comfortable and appropriate for you, because therapy sometimes can be a difficult process.
What To Expect
Here is a quick overview of what you can expect by working with me as your therapist. Click here for the forms and detailed information you will need to begin our therapeutic relationship.
My services are by appointment only. Length of appointments are 45-60 minutes. I expect payment at time of service. Because appointments are reserved for you specifically, I must charge for appointments not cancelled a full 24 hours in advance. For any missed visit, the client will be charged the full fee.
Insurance can be complex. I will file your visit for you with your insurance provider. Please be aware that in order to do this, I am required by the insurance company to give you a mental illness diagnosis. This will be part of your permanent medical record forever. You may consider private-pay, so insurance does not have to be filed.
If you choose to use insurance, my office manager, Cris, will take your insurance information at the time you make your first appointment. This will allow her to get authorization for your visits as well as your benefits information. Filing insurance is not a guarantee of payment - even with authorization. Ultimately you are responsible for payment.
All therapy is confidential (with some exceptions, which you can read in my policies and procedures). I am ethically restricted from talking about the contents of your sessions with anyone without your signed consent.
